L’IDA, pour Initiative du Développement Arabe, est une organisation à but non lucratif gérée par des jeunes et basée à Montréal. Cette initiative a été déclenchée par un groupe d’étudiants de McGill et depuis a évolué au niveau international. Présentement, l’équipe organisatrice est constituée de plus de 30 personnes, d’origines diverses. L’organisation a été initiée comme sous-comité de l’association des étudiants arabes de McGill et vise à promouvoir le développement dans le monde arabe en créant une synergie entre les jeunes qui sont en train de fournir des efforts pour développer la région. L’IDA a pour ambition de devenir une plate-forme servant de catalyseur de changement au niveau individuel, communautaire et régional, grâce à la reconnaissance du potentiel de jeunes Arabes à travers le monde et de la période cruciale que nous traversons en ce moment, dans le but de générer un impact concret en matière d’éducation, de santé, de politique, d’arts et littérature, et de développement durable entre autres.

ال-ADI، أي، مبادرة التنمية العربية، هي منظمةشبابية، غير ربحية مقرها في مونتريال. انطلقت الفكرة من قبل مجموعة من طلاب جامعة McGillثم نمت و انتشرت عالمياً. يتألف فريق المنظمة حالياً من أكثر من ثلاثين طالب، منهم عرب وغير عرب. بدأت المنظمة كمجموعة فرعية ل”اتحاد الطلبة العرب”في جامعة McGillو تسعى لتعزيز التنمية في العالم العربي من خلال الوصول إلى، والتواصل مع الشباب الذين يعملون حالياً على جهود لتطوير المنطقة.كذلك أن ال- ADIتسعى جاهدة لترسيخ مكانها كبرنامجغيرطائفييخدم ويزود كل الأفراد.إدراكاً للإمكانات الجليلة المكتومة لدى الشباب العرب في كافة أنحاء العالم ، و للزمن الحاسم الذي نعيشه الآن،  لنباشرفي التغيير الحقيقي والجذري من خلال-التعليم والصحة والسياسة والفنون الجميلة، والأدب، والاستدامة البيئية، وأكثر من ذلك بكثير.
 

The ADI, short for the Arab Development Initiative, is a non-hierarchical youth-run not-for-profit organization based in Montreal. It was kick-started by a group of McGill students and since then has expanded internationally. Currently the organization team consists of over thirty people, both Arab and non-Arab. The organization began as a sub-set of the McGill Arab Students’ Association and aims to promote development in the Arab world through reaching out to and connecting youth who are currently working on efforts to develop the region. ADI hopes to be a platform which can serve as a means of individual, communal and regional empowerment, recognizing the potential amongst Arab youth across the world and the crucial time we are now finding ourselves in to initiate real and substantive change- through education, health, politics, the fine arts, literature, environmental sustainability and much more.

Du 7 au 9 Octobre 2011, l’IDA organisera un événement majeur a l’Université McGill (Montréal, QC, Canada); le Sommet pour le développement du monde arabe. Cet événement a pour but de rassembler la jeunesse de la communauté arabe provenant des quatre coins du monde pour une fin de semaine de conférences inspirantes, de discussions constructives, d’actions fructueuses et d’échanges  inestimables sur plusieurs sujets. C’est dans l’optique de fournir une vision du futur monde arabe que plus de 500 jeunes délégués  partageront leur savoir, expérience et idées portant sur les six volets suivants:
- Le  développement économique
- Les sciences et la technologie
- La santé et le bien-être
- La justice et les droits de la personne
- L’éducation

في ال-7و حتى ال-9من شهر أكتوبر 2011 ، سوف تقوم ال- ADIباستضافة مؤتمر "مستقبل العالم العربي" في جامعة McGillفي مونتريال ، كندا. وسيشملهذا المؤتمرشباب من كل أنحاء العالم لقضاء ثلاثة أيام مليئة بالإلهام و المشاركة الفعالة و العمل التعاوني بهدف خلق مجال لتبادل الأفكار و لتقديم رؤية عملية لتنمية العالم العربي في شتى المجالات. يسعي المؤتمر لبناء رؤية مشرقة لمستقبل الوطن العربي . يشارك في المؤتمر أكثر من ٥٠٠ شاب وشابة بخبراتهم وطموحاتهم وأحلامهم ، ليخططوا للمستقبل في ست قطاعات ؛ وهي
 -التنمية الاقتصادية ،
 -العلوم والتكنولوجية ،
 -الصحة ،
 -المجتمع والثقافة ،
 -القانون وحقوق الإنسان،
 - و التعليم.
 مما سيخلق رؤية مستقبلية تكون بمثابة مرجع للأفراد و المنظمات الهادفة للتنمية في مجتمعنا العربي.
المؤتمر هو المنتدى الجوهري للشباب لمعالجة القضايا الأساسية في تنمية عالمنا العربي.

    On October 7-9, 2011, the ADI will be hosting the Envision Arabia Summit at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. The summit will bring together Arab youth from all over the world for a weekend of inspirational talks, engaging discussions, and meaningful action.
The summit centers on producing a vision for the future of the Arab world. Over 500 youth delegates will bring their knowledge, experience, and ideas to the table as they envision the future in six sectors:

• Economic Development
• Science and Technology
• Health and Well-being
• Society and Culture
• Law and Human Rights
• Education

The Envision Arabia Summit is the ultimate forum for youth to tackle the issues at the core of development in the Arab world.

Notre mission consiste à tisser des liens transfrontaliers entre jeunes et à leur fournir les outils et les ressources nécessaires au développement de leurs propres régions ainsi que d'autres. L'IDA a été fondée à Montréal. Cependant, nous nous targuons d'une grande mobilité. Nous encourageons la jeunesse à prendre des initiatives au sein de leurs communautés. That’s exactly what we are trying to do! Our mission is to connect the youth (internationally) and provide them with the tools and resources needed to develop their own societies and other regions within the Arab world. The ADI was founded in Montreal, Canada, however our mission is very mobile, part of our mandate is to encourage youth to start up their own initiatives in their own communities. Nous ciblons l'ensemble de la population, minorités comprises, des pays membres de la ligue arabe depuis 2009. Malgré leur diversité et leur pluralisme culturels, bon nombre de ces pays entretiennent des liens cordiaux et par ailleurs, font face à des obstacles communs à leur développement.

هدفنا هو جميع السكان ، بما في ذلك الأقليات ، من جميع الدول التي تعتبر جزءاً من جامعة الدول العربية منذ عام ال-2009.كثير من هذه البلدان ، على الرغم من تنوعها وتعدد ثقافاتها، تجمعها روابط قوية في أنحاء المنطقة.بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، إن معظم هذه الدول تواجه نفس التحديات التنموية المتعددة.

Our target is the whole population, including its minorities, of all countries that have been a part of The Arab League since 2009. Many of these countries, despite their diversity and pluralism in culture, share strong bonds across the region. In addition to this, most of these countries also face many of the same challenges of development.

En matière d'âge, nous recherchons des individus dans la tranche des 17-28 ans. Mis à part cela, nous sollicitons une jeunesse qui porte un intérêt à changer le statut quo du monde Arabe, qui œuvre à son développement et qui est suffisamment motivée pour faire preuve de leadership et pour devenir des agents de changement. Il n'est pas nécessaire d'être dirigeant d'une organisation,  blogueur réputé ou doctorant; nous avons besoin de votre énergie et de votre passion!

نحن نبحث عن أشخاص تتراوح أعمارهم بين ال-17 وال- 28. كما أننا نهتم بكل شاب عربي يرغب بتغيير الوضع الراهن في عالمنا العربي ،يهتم في التنمية ويملك الحافز لتولي القيادة والمبادرة. ليس من الضرورة أن تكون رئيس منظمة أو مدون مؤسس ولست بحاجة أن تملك دكتوراه -- مطلوب عقلك و جهدك.

Age wise, we are looking for people between the ages of 17 and 28. Other than that, we are interested in Arab youth who are interested in changing the status quo of the Arab world, interested in development and have the motivation to take on the leadership and initiative. You do not need to be a chair of an organization or an established blogger or hold a PhD – we need your mind and drive.

L'essence du travail commence après le sommet! Le sommet va donner naissance à plusieurs idées, projets et résolutions. Ce sera notre responsabilité d'assurer leur pérennité. Nous établirons un suivi avec tous les participants ainsi que tous les jeunes intéressés afin de leur fournir les ressources et le réseau nécessaires pour concrétiser leurs idées. Le meilleur est pour la fin: nous consacrerons une partie du prochain sommet aux divers succès de nos jeunes inspirés par l'IDA! 

العمل الجدي يأتي بعد المؤتمر! سينتج المؤتمر عدة أفكار، مقترحات لمشاريع، وقرارات ، وسنحرص على مثابرة العمل ونمنع كل الأفكار والجهود والآمال أن تتلاشى ببساطة بعد المؤتمر. لذلك سنقوم بمتابعة الحضور و كافة المهتمين من الشباب، و تزويدهم بالموارد والشبكة اللازمة لتحقيق أفكارهم.

The real work comes after the summit! The summit will produce many ideas, project proposals and resolutions, and it will be our job to make sure that they do not simply end after the summit. We will follow-up with the attendees and all the interested youth to provide them with resources and the network needed to realize their ideas. The best part is, once the next summit comes around, we will dedicate a part of the summit to the success stories of our Arab youth inspired by the ADI!
